“Within education, activities likely to be disrupted by blockchain technology include the award of qualifications, licensing and accreditation, management of student records, intellectual property management, and payments."
Educational software is a multi-billion dollar market and there is also companies looking into Blockchain for delivery and payment for the software services.
Centralised services such as AWS are much more expensive than schools running networked nodes (at each school). The nodes could provide a framework of networked systems across the nation to deliver educational software services. If every school ran one or two nodes across the nation, then the difference in timezones, plus the ability to have fault tolerance will quite easily have sufficient processing power, bandwidth and storage to be able to deliver services in a secure and decentralised manner.
